I am an avid sports fan and love going to sports venues. My next trip will be to the city of Vancouver. Vancouver is the home of Generals Motors Place. General Motors Place is obviously sponsored by General Motors and was completely remodeled in 2006 to include a LCD Scoreboard and around the rink LED display. You won”t be getting any General Motors Place Tickets for the WWE though. World Wrestling Entertainment has been banned for multiple incidents of fighting and brawls during the taping of WWE Raw.
One of my favorite venues is hosting one of my favorite rappers tonight. Lil Wayne is playing the Sears Centre Arena tonight. Sears Centre Arena Tickets are still available for the show, but be ready to pay.
Hockey fans are going crazy right now trying to land Verizon Center Tickets. The NCAA Frozen Four is being hosted in Washington D.C. by the Verizon Center, formerly known as the MCI Center.
The 50 year old singing icon already has an adopted boy from Malawi, now she is targeting a 3-year-old girl for adoption. Her team confirmed that she is in the process of filing paperwork to adopt the girl that she met a few years back. The girl, Mercy James, will have to wait another day, as a judge in Malawi has asked the actress to return to court on Friday.
Clifford Harris, aka TI, has been sentenced to one year in prison stemming from 2007 weapons charges. Clifford tried to purchase unlicensed automatic machine guns and silencers hours after he headlined for BET’s hip-hop awards. Harris has already served over 1,000 community service hours teaching young kids about the effects of guns, drugs, and violence. He has 30-60 days to report to prison and still has about 500 hours of community service left. We love TI and wish him the best and predict that he will have a successful comeback.
A Cape Cod police officer has been discharged following a recent incident at a Metallica show in Boston. The Brewster officer, Joseph Houston, was allegedly kicked out of the show for being drunk and disorderly. After his removal, the cop allegedly flashed his badge to regain entrance. After his return, the cop proceeded to drain his main vein on a young Connecticut couple. These are the idiots that get the job and have no respect for the position. Cops get bad names because of fools like this.
I love how a domestic abuse case about a man assaulting his famous girlfriend turns into a national poll that finds most adolescent boys find Rihanna was at fault. The police arrested her boyfriend, famous rapper Chris Brown, for allegedly beating her down after she got a text message. Somehow, the picture leaked onto the internet and it was pretty bad. Her friends and acquaintances claimed this to be the recent of multiple attacks by Brown. So where is Miss Rihanna? Miss Rihanna is reconciling with Mr. Brown at Puffy’s private estate in Miami and her father has already forgiven Mr. Brown. Maybe thats why the poll suggests that it was her fault, because so does her actions.
Joaquin Phoenix is playing some major roles in major movies. I personally like the man’s style and presence. I believe is portrayal of Johnnie Cash and other movies have been great performances. So, I will have to admit I was surprised when he said he was retiring last October from acting to become a musician. Joaquin supposedly set up the act itself to become a rapper by growing a beard, changing his style and performing in Las Vegas. The show was a setup with Big Ben’s little brother Casey taping the whole thing. It turns out Casey is Joaquin’s brother-in-law and knew about the hoax.

I wanted to touch base on a classic movie that I recently watched with the benefit of high definition. I still it it amazing that these classics can be reworked to a point where I can see the blood flowing through Arnold’s veins while he chases the translucent predator. While reviewing, I laughed when I came to the realization that another former movie star turned governor shared the spotlight (Jesse Ventura.) Do you think they talked about leading governments in the future while taking on the difficult task of containing the deadliest alien in the 80’s (to be debated.) My next thought turned to how they actually ended up killing the beast. I knew it involved a ditch and tree but I forgot about Arnold’s intuition to wedge the stick and somehow develop a pulley system. I guess that’s why he is Governor of the wonderful state of California and I am writing this blog. Basically, take a Sunday and watch the high def version of Predator, it’s well worth it.
Has anyone seen the new show on Animal Planet “Whale Wars?” The controversial show follows Captain Paul Watson and a bunch of eager activists attack, harass, and chase Japanese whaling ships in Antarctica. Watson began the Sea Shepherd in 1977 after he co-founded GreenPeace to take a more proactive approach to protecting whales. The show becomes more like 24 as late night boardings and stink bombs generate controversy. The Japanese have even started disbursing decoy ships to throw the Shepherd off course. Either way, check it out.
