Clapton & Winwood
April 22nd, 2009 Eric Clapton & Steve window displayed an epic performance in February 2008 at Madison Square Garden in New York. On May 19th, a two CD/DVD compilation will be released worldwide. Eric Clapton was born on March 30th, 1945 in England at his grandparent’s home. He was born the son of a 16 year old English girl named Patricia Clapton. His father was a 24 year old Canadian soldier stationed on England during WWII. However, his father, Edward Fryer, left before he was born to return to Canada to his wife.
At least something good came out of World War II. Eric Clapton Songs are a staple of American history. Stephen Lawrence Winwood was born May 12, 1948, in Birmingham, England. We was the son of Lawrence Samuel (a foundry worker) and Lillian Mary (Saunders) Winwood. Steve and Eric have been playing together and creating classics for years. Eric Clapton tour dates include performances in Dublin, Liverpool and Manchester in May 2009 before returning to a venue he has said is “like playing in my front room” - London’s Royal Albert Hall.
