It seems like you can’t get much done these days without a good plan. That’s really what it comes down to with celebrities. Those who have successful, lengthy careers typically have great lawyers, agents, and friends. These business professionals shape these celebrities into what they become by being mentors.
Friends allow them to stay level-headed. Agents paint the right picture of them in the public. Finally, lawyers make sure that their third wife doesn’t take all they have made (Sorry Mel). I am referring to Mel Gibson’s recent divorce that could cost him about $500 million. The movie stars, athletes, and celebrities of today need to have a great marketing team to sell their products.
They have professional video production services at their disposal for new ventures, movies, and promotional gear. Strategic appearances, charity events, and moral behavior are the keys to success in Hollywood. I would not suggest beating your girlfriend, getting a DUI, or exposing your snatch.
Even if you are not a celebrity, surround yourself with a good team. Keep loyal friends, pay worthy lawyers, and find the best way to market yourself every day. With an everyday struggle to keep a job, you may never know who is your next connection.
