Has anyone seen the new show on Animal Planet “Whale Wars?” The controversial show follows Captain Paul Watson and a bunch of eager activists attack, harass, and chase Japanese whaling ships in Antarctica. Watson began the Sea Shepherd in 1977 after he co-founded GreenPeace to take a more proactive approach to protecting whales. The show becomes more like 24 as late night boardings and stink bombs generate controversy. The Japanese have even started disbursing decoy ships to throw the Shepherd off course.
